TERMINAL SWITCHING SYSTEM FOR REMOTE DIAGNOSIS

PURPOSE:To select and connect a terminal equipment having an attribute which coincides with a terminal attribute by reading and discriminating automatically a terminal attribute of a line connecting part of a system to be diagnosed before starting a remote conversational operation in a remote diagnosis. CONSTITUTION:When a start command for executing a remote diagnosis is inputted from one of terminals 181-18n connected to a diagnostic system 11, a terminal switching device 16 outputs a line connecting request to a line connecting part 15 of a designated system to be diagnosed 12. Subsequently, the connecting part 15 outputs a permitting signal to the device 16, and when this permitting signal is received, the device 16 issues a command for reading a terminal attribute of the system 12 to the connecting part 15, and receives its terminal attribute. Next, the device 16 which receives the terminal attribute retrieves the terminals 181-18n having an attribute being equal to this terminal attribute, and connects terminal connecting parts 171-17n corresponding to its terminal. In such a way, since a difference of the terminal attributes in the remote diagnosis can be prevented in advance, a data omission, missing and an error caused by the difference of the attributes can be prevented in advance.
