Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To protect a plant or increase its yield by treating the plant with a compound containing a S-methyl-methionine sulfonium salt in its growing stage, just after its blooming, or before, after or during stress onset in the plant. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises 0.001-95wt.% of a compound of the formula (X is an agriculturally permissible inorganic or organic anion) and a solid or liquid support, or diluent, additive and other agrochemical(s). A plant is treated with this composition in its vigorously growing stage, just after its blooming, or before, during or up to 5 days after stress onset in the plant, thus increasing its yield or protecting it from stress. The amount of application of this composition is set at 0.001-10kg/ha in terms of the compound of the formula.
