Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate for agricultural chemicals, etc., in high yield without forming by-products by reacting a 3,6-dihalogeno-4-alkylpyridazine with anilines in the presence of a transition metal salt. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula II (R and R are H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or phenoxy) can be produced by reacting a 3,6-dihalogeno-4-alkylpyridazine of formula I (R is lower alkyl; X is halogen) with anilines (e.g. aniline or o-fluoroaniline) in the presence of a transition metal salt usually in an organic solvent (e.g. n-butane or ethyl acetate) at a temperature above 50 deg. and below the boiling point of the solvent. The transition metal is Al, Ti, Mn, Fe, etc., and the salt is preferably halide or sulfate. The amount of the salt is preferably 0.2-5 equivalent based on the compound of formula I. |
