MANUFACTURE OF TUBE-COVERED CABLE

PURPOSE:To manufacture a long cable with good productivity and prevented from a change in the outside diameter and with uniformity of mechanical characteristics by installing a guide for prevention from contact between an excluder head and a sizing former to prevent a contact of an excluded molten thermoplastic resin and a cable. CONSTITUTION:A guide 2 for preventing contact is installed between an excluder 12a and a sizing former 18 so that molten thermoplastic resin from an extruder 12a is prevented from contact with a cable 21 when the resin oscillates. Thereby, the cable 21 is uniformly covered with the resin 14 cooled by the former 18 so that a good long cable prevented from a change in the outside diameter and the ununiformity mechanical characteristics can be manufactured at high productivity.
