Then a two-stage screen 12a, 12b consisting of the upper and the lower stages is hung down from the rail 6 through carriers 9. The screen 12a, 12b is also installed to a dredger in a way that the screen is capable of being contained to an extended from the dredger. At dredging, the screen 12a, 12b is spread round the bucket wheel 4 so that the sea around the dredger can be protected from contamination caused by the dredging. The lower stage 12b of the screen is made available for corresponding to the depth of water after the dredging. With such a device, marine pollution can be easily prevented.
