ORIGINAL SUPPLY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the undesired surface of an original from being copied to improve operability of a device by constantly keeping the direction indicating the top and back side of the original stored in an original storage part constant during the operation or copying. CONSTITUTION:In an original supply device for carrying originals in order to read out the surface of a sheet-like originals, the above mentioned originals D are stored in an original storage part 35, and then supplied and carried from one end of the uppermost part of the originals D. The original D supplied from the original storage part 35 is supported on a first supporting cylinder 24, and one surface is read out. The original whose one surface is read out on the first supporting cylinder 24 is carried to a second supporting cylinder 27 with its top and back sides inverted on a first original inverting means 53. The original D is supported on the supporting cylinder 27, and the other surface is read out. After the completion of reading, the original D is carried to a second original inverting means 60, and returned from the other end of the lowermost part of the originals stored in the original storage part 35 after the carrying direction of the original is inverted without inverting the top and back sides of the original D.
