METHOD FOR FORMING PICOT ON KNIT LACE

PURPOSE:To stabilize the length of picot and to improve the appearance of knit fabric by drawing a chain yarn of a knit row between the tip end knit row and the base knit row of a picot-forming yarn toward the base side using a single stitch overlap of an insoluble bent chain yarn. CONSTITUTION:The base part 21 of a picot-forming yarn 20 is held by stitching with an insoluble bent chain yarn 30, which is overlapped in one stitch. The chain yarns of a chain row C of the picot-forming yarn 20 and of a knit row D between the base knit row E are drawn toward the base part 21 of the picotforming yarn 20. Each soluble yarn 40, 50 is stitched in a state to enable the drawing of the picot-forming yarn 20 in a direction same as the picot- forming direction.
