CONTACT PRESSURE CONTROLLER FOR PAGE-TURNING MEMBER

PURPOSE:To provide a controller which enables constant and secure turning of one page by detecting a torque exerted on a page-turning member from the surface of a paper, and maintaining a contact pressure at a proper value on the basis of variations in the detected torque. CONSTITUTION:When a booklet sensor S1 is turned ON, a servo motor 10 is driven so that a booklet 4 is fed while a contact pressure of a page-turning member 1 is gradually increased. Upon a rapid variation in a torque value inputted from a differentiating circuit 16, a CPU 11 immediately reads an output from a torque sensor S2, and stores the read value into a memory 12. Further, the motor 10 is turned OFF, and an operation of a fuzzy controller 14 is started. The fuzzy controller 14 outputs a contact pressure as control data to a driver 15, which drives the motor 10 according to the data.
