Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the stick of dust on an optical system, and to facilitate maintenance by storing a projecting lens and an image sensor in a case to form hermetically closed room together with a transparent plate. CONSTITUTION:A reader unit 50 is provided with a glass plate 54 as an example of the transparent plate opposing to an EL plate 52 while pinching a film 16 therebetween, and the projecting lens 56 and the image sensor 58 stored in the hermetically closed case 50a. The lens 56 is held in the case 50a so as to be freely rotatable, and can be moved in an optical axis direction by cam constitution. Namely, a gear wheel 50b is provided around the outer periphery of the lens 56, and on the other hand, a pinion gear 50d of a motor 50c is engaged with this gear wheel 50b. Therefore, the lens 56 can be moved on the optical axis by the revolution of the motor 50c so that focusing is possible. By such a constitution, the dust is hardly stuck on the optical system, and accordingly, the maintenance is facilitated.
