Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make a light weight main body and reduce a cost of an air conditioner by a method wherein a condensor and a compressor constituting a freezing cycle together with an evaporator are arranged within an outdoor device and at the same time an outdoor aeration passage opened at both sides of the outdoor surface is provided. CONSTITUTION:Within the outdoor device 3 are arranged an outdoor suction port 20 arranged to be opened at one side surface, a condensor 21 arranged in opposition to the outdoor suction port 20, an outdoor blowing port 22 arranged to be opened at the other side surface, an outdoor multi-vane fan 23, an outdoor casing 24, a fan motor 25 having at both ends of a vertical shaft the outdoor multi-vane fan 23 and an indoor multi-vane fan 11, a partition plate 26 defining the indoor and outdoor areas and fixing a fan motor 25, and a compressor 27. With such an arrangement as above, if a power supply switch arranged at an operating part is turned on, a freezing cycle operation is carried out and a cooling of an air conditioned room can be carried out.
