Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To exactly detect X and Y coordinates of the tip position of a projecting part at a high speed by determining a position of the tip of a projecting part of an object as a window contained surely by taking positioning accuracy into consideration. CONSTITUTION:At the time of measuring an X axis or Y axis projecting distribution, at the time of the X axis projecting distribution, the contents of a binary image memory 106 are turned to an image loop, and from a control part CPU 111, a timing for generating necessary data is informed to an X axis projecting circuit 108, and data is accumulated in the circuit 108. In such a way, by bringing the image loop to only one rotation, the projecting distribution can be derived, and it can be executed at a higher speed enough than the time of deriving the projecting distribution by a software. The obtained data is transferred to a memory 112. At the time of measuring the Y axis projecting distribution, the same operation is executed, and the data is accumulated in a Y axis projecting circuit 109. Thereafter, the result of distribution of the X axis and the Y axis is checked from the side where there is no image, a coordinate in which the distribution starts to decrease from the maximum value is detected, and the tip position of the projecting part is known.
