Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an upland field herbicide containing 1-[7-fluoro-4- propargyl-2-H-1,4-benzoxyzine-3(4H)-on-6-yl]-3,4-dimethyl-2,5-dioxo-2,5- dihydropyrrole as an active ingredient, especially effective for treating soil before the germination of weed seeds. CONSTITUTION:A herbicide for upland fields contains a compound of the formula as an active ingredient. The compound of the formula causes no chemical injury against cultivated plants, has excellent selectivity as a herbicide and exhibits an excellent active effect especially when used as a soil-treating agent before the germination of weed seeds. The herbicide can be applied to afforested fields, fruit fields, tea-cultivated fields, etc., and also to factories, rail reads, reads, etc., preferably in an application amount of 1-2000g as the active compound per ha of the field.
