Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To increase the strength of steel pipe concrete columns by a method in which concrete is placed into a steel pipe with joint parts projected on its periphery, laitance is removed from the concrete, cement mortar is packed, and another steel pipe is set into the pipe and connected through bearing joint plates and connecting plates. CONSTITUTION:A joint part 5 is projectionally formed on a given place of the periphery of a steel pipe 2 by welding, and a connecting plate 30 is welded to the lower end face of the pipe 2. Concrete 3 is placed into the pipe 2 up to nearly upper end of the pipe 2, laitance is removed from the concrete on the end portion, and non-shrinkable cement mortar 19 is packed instead. Under the condition that the mortar 19 is in an unhardened state, a bearing joint plate 10 is set on the upside of the upper flange 7 of the joint part 5. The pipe 2 with the plate 30 is set by inserting with screw bolts 13 into the flange 7, the joint plate 10, and the connecting plate 30. The efficiency of operation can thus be raised.
