ORIGINAL PREREADING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To shorten a transmission time by executing reading and compression simultaneously with the setting of an original, starting the storage of the original to a memory part, taking out picture data from the memory part to the telephone number inputted during this operation, of an opposite party and transmitting the data. CONSTITUTION:When an original detecting part 1 detects that the original is set to a facsimile equipment, the original is read by an original reading part 3 according to an initial state stored to an initial state memory part 8 and compressed 5. Then, the storage of the original to a memory part 4 is started and the picture data are taken out of the memory part 4 and transmitted to an address inputted during this operation. Accordingly, simultaneously with the setting the original to the facsimile equipment, the original is read and compressed and the storage of the original to the memory part 4 is started. Then, the data can be transmitted to the telephone number inputted during this operation with a minimum waiting time and the transmission time can be shortened.
