ROLL

PURPOSE:To lighten a roll and improve its surface peel-off property by impregnating carbon fibers with thermosetting resin so as to form reinforced fibers, forming a raw tube with the reinforced fibers wound around a mandrel so as to form a fluorine resin file on its surface. CONSTITUTION:A roll material 1 is obtained by removing, from a mould of mandrel, a raw tube made after impregnating fibers with thermosetting resin and heat curing them, cutting the raw tube in a specific length, and polishing its outer surface. Then, inorganic powder like inorganic filler or the like is mixed with thermosetting type resin, applied in spray on a raw tube for roll 1 and heat-cured to form a base treatment layer 2. A fluorine resin film 3 is formed on it, but when, for example, a fluorine resin the melting point of which is high and which cannot stay as molten material such as 4-ethylene- fluoride is used, the flame coating method is suitable as its method. Or there is another method that 4-ethylene-fluoride and 6-polypropylene-fluoride are copolymerized together mixted with binder and baked to form the fluorine resin film 3. A roll obtained in such a way is light in its weight and rich in its high rigidity, peel-off property and chemical-proof property.
