ACTIVE VIBRATION ISOLATOR

PURPOSE:To obtain strong supporting force and vibration proof efficiency, and to isolate a vibration from a broad vibration proof frequency band by using both rigid vibration absorber such as aluminum and active vibration isolating means. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 2 consisting of piezoelectric ceramics 3, which expand/contract an elastic body 6, is incorporated inside the elastic body 6 consisting of metal substance, and a damping material 8 is adhesively fitted so as to surround the side periphery of the elastic body 6. The metal substance has a relatively low elastic modulus, it is easily manufactured, and for example, aluminum and an aluminum alloy at relatively inexpensive costs can be used. The damping material 8 is used to prevent the surging of the metal elastic body 6, and vibration proof rubber, etc., are used for it. Thus, the strong supporting force is possessed, and the high vibration proof efficiency and the broad vibration proof frequency band can be obtained.
