DISTRIBUTED EL ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To aim at a high luminance and a long lifetime by using specific polyurethane for an organic binder. CONSTITUTION:In a distributed EL element comprising a luminous particle and an organic binder, polyurethane having a residual NCO group or polyurethane mixed with a compound having high dielectric constant or incorporating the component into a molecule is used for at least a part of the organic binder. It is preferable for obtaining polyurethane having a high dielectric constant that a compound having a high dielectric constant such as a cyanoethyl group, halogen or a nitro group is mixed or incorporated into a molecule. As such a compound, polyol of the polymerized tichlorbutylene oxide type polyol of the polymerized epichlorohydrin-brominated-polyol type or the like may be used. Polyurethane can be obtained by reaction of polyol and polyisocyanate, wherein it is desirable that the reaction ratio is 0.6-1.7 in NCO/OH ratio.
