Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve both the effect of preventing discoloration and fading and the effect of preventing the deterioration of odor in a detergent containing a large quantity of an anionic surface active agent by mixing a specified anionic surface active agent, a hydroxycarboxylic acid salt, and an alkanolamine. CONSTITUTION:A liquid detergent composition comprising 40-60wt.% of one or more anionic surface active agents (A) of formulas I and II, a 2-6C hydroxycarboxylic acid salt (B), and an alkanolamine (C), wherein the weight ratio of B to C is 0.05 to 0.5 and the total amount of B and C is 0.5 to 5.0wt.%. In the formulas, R is 10-18C alkyl, alkenyl, alkylaryl (or alkenylaryl) of 10-18C alkyl (or alkenyl), etc.; and M is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium or alkanolamine.
