INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To grasp the flow of a program from the executing history of the program by outputting the branch generating status, the branch origin address, and the branch destination address to a trace device at occurrence of the program branch. CONSTITUTION:A circuit 7 is connected to a CPU 1 in an information processor 6 via a signal line 12 which secures the branch generating status for output of the branch generating status, the branch origin address, and the branch destination address. When the branch generating status is inputted from the CPU 1 via the line 12 at occurrence of the program branch, the circuit 7 outputs the branch generating status, the branch origin address, and the branch destination address to a trace device 3 to record them there. Thus it is possible to know a specific time point when a specific branch occurred in the execution history of a program based on the trace data on the device 3. Then the flow of the program can be grasped even though a single pre-reading instruction includes >=2 branch instructions given to the same address and thereafter the branch occurs.
