Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To lessen surface roughening of unpolished rice by setting the feeding quantities, large and small, to a husking section or a rotating sorting cylinder based on the assortment setting of a paddy assortment setting means for setting the degree of sorting difficulty and reducing the quantity of unpolished rice to be returned from the rotating sorting cylinder to the husking section. CONSTITUTION:A finished rice trough 16 for receiving unpolished rice is installed in a rotating sorting cylinder 11 having a number of pot-shaped holes on the inner peripheral surface and rotating around the transverse axis. A layer thickness sensor 24 for sensing a fluidized layer thickness of grains to be sorted formed on the pumping-up side rotating from below to above said rotating sorting cylinder 11 and a paddy feeding control valve 27 of the husking section 1 are constituted in correlation. A paddy assortment setting means for setting the degree of sorting difficulty by the grain sorting cylinder 11 such as whether the water content of paddy is high or low, whether the paddy fed to husking section 1 is husked one time or several times or the like is provided. Based on assortment setting of said paddy assortment setting means, the feeding quantity to the husking section 1 or a sorting cylinder 11 can be adjusted, large or small. As a result, surface roughening of unpolished rice can be lessened.
