Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make improvements in exhaust ventilating efficiency in an underground passage by setting up an exhaust duct with a notch extended in the lower part in the axial direction on an underground ceiling, and inserting a muffler to be projectingly installed upward from each vehicle into the duct via the notch. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust duct 7 with a notch 11 extended in the lower part in the axial direction is set up on an underground ceiling part. Next, a muffler 21 is installed in each vehicle 3 running in an underground passage as turning it upward. Then, the muffler 21 of each vehicle 3 is inserted into the exhaust duct 7 via the notch 11, and this state is maintained even in running, not to mention stoppage.
