Zusammenfassung:NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R represents lower alkyl). EXAMPLE:1,1,4,4-Tetramethyl-2,5-bis(vinyldimethylsilyl)-1,4-disilacycl ohexane. USE:A crosslinking agent in high polymer chemistry and an intermediate for synthesis of various compounds. PREPARATION:A 1,2-divinyldisilane compound expressed by formula II (example; 1,2-divinyltetramethyldisilane) is reacted in the presence of a platinum group metal-based catalyst (preferably chloroplatinic acid, alcohol-modified chloroplatinic acid or platinum vinylcyclohexane) preferably in an amount of 1-100ppm (as the platinum).
