Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the vibrationproof action and facilitate execution by installing a plate-shaped magnet and a nonmagnetic conductor between the upper and lower structure parts, in a magnetic damper vibrationproof device for protecting a construction from the vibration such as earthquake. CONSTITUTION:Flat parts 1a and 2a and projection parts 1b and 2b are formed on the upper and lower structure parts 1 and 2. Then, a compression laminated layer rubber 5 as long cycle generating means is installed between the flat parts 1b and 2b. Between the projection parts 1b and 2b, the opposed area over a certain value is set in parallel along the direction for suppressing vibration. A nonmagnetic conductor plate 3 made of Al, etc., is fixed onto the upper surface of the projecting part 1b, and a strong permanent magnet 4 made of neodynium, etc., is fixed onto the undersurface of the projection part 1b. Therefore, added with the vibration suppressing action of the laminated rubber 5, the vibration suppressing action can be secured efficiently by the vibration suppressing action due to the eddy current due to the relative shift between the plate 3 and the magnet 4, and strong construction can be executed in simple ways.
