METHOD FOR CARRYING CLOTH ROLLED ON ROD

PURPOSE:To eliminate loss in carrying time and carry cloth rolls to a packaging machine with constant intervals by a method wherein an auxiliary conveyer is stopped when both of a third detector and a second detector detect the cloth roll, and both of the second detector and a third detector detect the cloth roll, a main conveyer is stopped. CONSTITUTION:Cloth rolls 7 fed cut from a rolling machine 1 are sequentially carried toward a packaging machine 2 with a main belt conveyer 3 and an auxiliary belt conveyer 4 running. As a result, a cloth roll 7c carried first is packaged in the packaging machine 2. At this time, a cloth roll 7b to be carried is transferred from the main belt conveyer 3 to the auxiliary belt conveyer 4 and detected by a detector 10 at the tip of the conveyer 4. With detection of this detector 10 and detection of a detector 11 of the cloth roll 7c, the auxiliary belt conveyer 4 is stopped with the cloth roll 7b positioned at the tip of the conveyer 4. Then, when a cloth roll 7a reaches the tip of the main belt conveyer 3 and is detected by a detector 9, the conveyer 3 is stopped with the cloth roll 7a positioned at the tip of the conveyer 3.
