ULTRASONIC TORSIONAL OSCILLATOR

PURPOSE:To manufacture the title oscillator simply by composing an annular electrostriction plate by burying square piezoelectric elements in a plurality of fitting holes formed in row in the circumference direction of a supporting substrate and laminating one or a plurality of the plates and disposing metal blocks on the upside and downside of the plates. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of fitting holes 11 is formed in row in the circumference direction of a circular supporting substrate 10 made of an insulating material. Then, square piezoelectric elements 12 are so buried in the fitting holes 11 as to get the polarization direction along with the circumference direction and to form an annular electrostriction plate 2. One or a plurality of the annular electrostriction plates 2 are laminated and metal blocks are put upside and downside of the laminated body to obtain a ultrasonic torsion vibrator easily. In this vibrator, when alternating current voltage is applied to each electrode 13, 13 of each piezoelectric element 12... from an electrode plate, each piezoelectric element 12... is stretched and contracted, to polarization direction, thereby torsional oscillation is generated in the ultrasonic oscillator, and the revolving amount becomes the maximum in the upper periphery of each metal block.
