COVER LOCK DETECTOR FOR MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To detect a series of operation and to sense disk loading surely without increasing number of switches by detecting both the movement of the position of a cassette cover and the position of a lock member in terms of mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a cover 3 is open, a spring 9 jumps up a switch lever 1, a switch lever 2 is engaged with the lever 1 and jumped up simultaneously and the engagement of a lock member 5 is released. The member 5 is restored to the lock position by a spring 13 but does not activate a switch 4. When the cover 3 is closed, the lever 1 is engaged with the cover 3, the lever 2 is engaged with the lock member 5 and brought down by a pin 12. The lever 2 engaged with the member 5 does not push yet the switch 4. When the cover is further pushed in, the pin 12 is latched with a slot of the member 5 and locked, and the lever 2 engaged with the member 5 presses the switch 4, which is turned on. Through the constitution above, the end of the cover lock is detected.
