Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To easily obtain a carbon product with very slight deformation by putting a molded body of a carbonaceous material in a prescribed state in a hole having a truncated conical slope pierced in the top of a support and calcining the molded product. CONSTITUTION:A hole 4 for calcining a molded body 1 of a carbonaceous material is pierced in the top of a support 3. The hole 4 has a truncated conical slope 5 similar in shape to the outermost part 2 of the molded body 1 in the perpendicular direction and tapering toward the bottom. The molded body 1 is put in the hole 4 so that the outermost part 2 is brought into contact with the slope 5. The molded boyd 1 is then calcined in a nonoxidizing atmosphere.
