Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the development of crack on surface of a steel strip by arranging tip part guide member between a roll type continuous casting machine and a coiler and forming free loop zone in the belt shaped steel strip between the continuous casting machine and the coiler by turning out this guide member. CONSTITUTION:In the roll type continuous casting machine 1, by rotating the rolls 4a, 4b, the belt shaped steel strip 5 is cast. In the downstream side, the coiler 6 is arranged. Then, the steel strip tip part guide member 7 for guiding the tip part of the cast steel strip 5 to the coiler 6 is arranged as freely turning out between the continuous casting machine 1 and the coiler 6. By turning out this guide member 7, the free loop zone A of the steel strip 5 is formed at between the continuous casting machine 1 and the coiler 6. By this method, the development of crack on surface of the steel strip can be prevented.
