METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PREVENTING CLOGGING OF SAMPLE PIPELINE OF CONTINUOUS ANALYZER

PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a sample pipeline by mixing oxygen with a gaseous sample via an oxygen permeable membrane and removing easily oxidizable metal compds. by oxidation and precipitation, from the sample in the stage before introduction of the sample. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a housing 14 is formed as a gas chamber 13 and a tube 15 made of the oxygen permeable membrane forming a gaseous sample passage 12 is disposed across the gas chamber 13. A feed port 16 for feeding an oxygen-contg. gas to the gas chamber 13 is provided at the housing 14 and a gas discharge port 17 is provided at the other end. A pressurized air source is connected to the gas feed port 16 and the pressurized air of a prescribed pressure is supplied as the oxygen-contg. gas to the oxygen-contg. gas chamber 13. The oxygen is incorporated via the oxygen permeable membrane into the gaseous sample in such a manner and easily oxidizable metal compds. are removed from the gaseous sample by oxidation and precipitation, by which the clogging of the sample pipeline is prevented.
