DEVICE FOR DETECTING NET COKING TIME IN COKE OVEN

PURPOSE:To realize the automatic detection of the correct net coking time in a coke oven by detecting the start of coal charge and the termination of the coking period from information on the temperature of carbonization gas and calculating the net coking time from these results. CONSTITUTION:A lid 6 capable of undergoing an angular displacement around a horizontal axis by means of a hinge 7 is provided on the upper end 5 of a vertical duct 4 made of a refractory, installed on the top 3 of a carbonization chamber 1. A dry main 12 is connected to the side wall at the upper part of the vertical duct 4 through a connecting tube 9, a curved tube 10, and a connecting tube 11. A valve 13 having both a valve body 14 capable of undergoing an angular displacement around an axis 14 and an operating rod 16 is provided in the lower part of the tube 10, and a nozzle 17 is provided on the radially outward peripheral wall of the tube 10. A thermocouple 18 is buried in the refractory of the vertical duct 4 to detect a peak temperature at the last stage of carbonization. The net coking time is then obtained by an arithmetic operation.
