GUIDING DEVICE FOR PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PURPOSE:To offer the information appropriate for utilization to passengers visually and aurally by blinking an upper or lower corresponding entrance prohibition indicator lamp and simultaneously issuing a warning with the second control means when a passenger enters and passes in the opposite direction by mistake and with the third control means at the time of a failure. CONSTITUTION:In the guiding device of a conveyor having a stop safety switch 11 and passenger entrance prohibition detecting means 1 and 2, when a passenger passes in the same direction as the running direction, the ascent (or descent) operation indicator lamp 5 (8) of a lower (or upper) gateway 14 (15) is lighted by the first control means, and an upper (lower) entrance prohibition indicator lamp 6 (7) of an upper (or lower) gateway 15 (14) is lighted respectively. When a passenger passes in the opposite direction, the lower (or upper) entrance prohibition indicator lamp 7 (6) of the lower (or upper) gateway 14 (15) is lighted by the second control means, and a lower or upper warning sound generator 12 or 13 is operated at the same time. When the conveyor can not be used, it is coped with the third control means.
