CENTER PILLAR STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To make a center pillar slender and look better without entailing any drop in rigidity by opening a window, adjoining an anchor rail, in a reinforcing frame housing this anchor rail tightly installed in an inner panel of the center pillar. CONSTITUTION:A stiffening plate 3 where nuts 3a, 3a are attached to two upper and lower spots is tightly installed on a surface at the body outside of an inner panel 2, and an anchor rail 5 supporting a seat belt anchor 4 free of vertical motion is bolted to a surface at the cab side of the inner panel 2 with a bolt 6. Then, a reinforcing frame 7 housing the anchor rail 5 is tightly installed in the inner panel 2, and a window adjoining the anchor rail 5 is opened to the reinforcing frame 7. This window should be such a size as capable of installing the anchor rail 5 tight in the inner panel through it, and each edge of both car longitudinal sides of the window is bent to the car outside, thus a increase of rigidity for the center pillar 1 is promoted.
