PREPARATION OF PRESSED FLOWER

PURPOSE:To obtain pressed flowers having natural color in a short time by sandwiching flowers to be pressed in between water content adjusting sheets coated or impregnated with a desiccant and setting air-impermeable cushioning sheets on the outsides of sheets to give a laminate and pressing the top and the bottom faces of the laminate through rigid plates. CONSTITUTION:Plants 9 for pressed flowers are held between water content adjusting sheets 10a-10c coated or impregnated with a desiccant, air-impermeable cushioning material sheets 11 containing sheets coated or impregnated with a disoxidant are set on the whole faces of the outsides of the water content adjusting sheets 10a-10c, proper pairs of these sheets are piled to form a laminate 8. Further rigid plates 1 and 2 are set on the top and under the bottom of the laminate 8, the laminate are pressurized in the vertical direction to efficiently give pressed flowers having excellent plane properties, ready handleability and water content adjustment and natural color free from fear of damage of pressed flowers, by using the air-impermeable cushioning material to make air tightness between the desiccant, the disoxidant and the flowers and to isolate influence of water in air.
