(C=0.5%, chloroform); solubility, easily soluble in chloroform, etc. and insoluble in water; color reactions, positive to iodine and potassium permanganate reactions and negative to ferric chloride and ninhydrin reactions. USE:Remedy for thrombosis, etc. PROCESS:An SEN-128-B-producing microbial strain [e.g. Streptomyces melanosporofaciens SEN-128 (FERM-P No.6775)] is cultured in a medium, and the SEN- 128-B is separated from the culture liquid.
