CARD CONTROL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To efficiently store and discharge many kinds of cards in quantities by automatically processing the correspondence relation between respective cards and shelves where they are stored. CONSTITUTION:The correspondence relation between the kinds of cards and the respective shelves is stored in a card kind and shelf number correspondence storage means 54 and respective control modes (storage, discharge, stocktaking, and enquiry) are set by a mode setting means 52; and the number of processed cards is set by a quantity setting means 51 and the kinds of the cards are set by a card kind specifying means B. When the cards are processed, the kinds of the cards are read by a bar code reading means A and a kind decision means 55 detects wrong cards. A quantity counting means 56 counts the number of processed cards. Then a quantity calculating means 57 counts, updates, and stores the new number of processed cards for the number of cards stored on the shelves so that the quantity of a card quantity storage means 58 is equal to the number of cards on each shelf at all times. Consequently, the card control is performed with accuracy and efficiency.
