Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To form a foil heater of high thermal stability in terms of both mechanical strength and resistance and of a low production cost by applying plating of a specific metal to a thin strip of an amorphous alloy having the porosity of 10% or more and the specific resistance of 50muOMEGA.cm or more. CONSTITUTION:The metals for plating are one or two of Cu, Ag, Au, Ni, Co, Zn, Sn, Cd and Pb. The method of plating is one of liquid phase methods such as electrolytic or on-electrolytic methods, vacuum deposition, ion plating, etc. The amorphous alloy strip is easily formed from molten metal with liquid rapid cooling method and has a high mechanical strength, a high specific resistance, and a low temperature coefficient of electric resistance. The pores of the porous material contribute to the increase in the specific resistance.
