FLAT DECK TYPE SMALL SHIP

PURPOSE:To form an engine room with its upper surface almost equal to a shape of the other deck surface by providing a water lock device in an exhaust pipe device and installing an engine in a low position. CONSTITUTION:A water lock device 33, preventing a reverse flow of water from an outlet end side of an exhaust pipe 31, is provided in the exhaust pipe 31 in the downstream side of an exhaust silencer 32, and these devices are almost horizontally arranged. Thus, a cover 41, provided in an opening part in the upper of an engine room 24, can be formed almost equal to the other deck surface 50, and a deck structure of wide work space excellent in workability is obtained, enabling even an upper surface of the cover 41 to be used as the deck. The cover 41 provides a hydraulic or pneumatic damper so as to facilitate opening and closing action, eliminating the necessity for providing an inspection window or the like, and by providing a ventilation duct 36 in a deck reverse side part adjacent to the engine room 24 to eliminate the necessity for mounting the ventilation duct to the cover 41, a soundproofing quality can be improved with a sound absorbing material facilitated in its pasting.
