Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To reduce a load in an actuator, when a rear wheel is large steered, without deteriorating vehicle stability and steering responsiveness by providing an actuator control means controlling the actuator in accordance with a steering condition of a front wheel and a running condition of a vehicle and an urging means energizing a steering angle variable mechanism toward a position where the rear wheel is placed in a straight advancing condition. CONSTITUTION:A steering angle variable mechanism generating a steering angle in a rear wheel 20 of a vehicle, actuator 24 driving this mechanism, actuator control means 30 controlling the actuator 24 in accordance with a steering condition of a front wheel 17 and a running condition of the vehicle and an urging means 26 energizing the steering angle variable mechanism toward a position where the rear wheel 20 is placed in a straight advancing condition are provided. The before described urging means 26 is constituted of a resilient member providing a high spring constant in a region of small displacement and a low spring constant when the displacement exceeds a predetermined value, while the predetermined displacement value is set larger than the maximum displacement value of the urging means 20 when the actuator control means 30 controls the rear wheel 20 to be small steered. In this way, large steering of the rear wheel can be performed by a small output without deteriorating running stability and steering responsiveness. |
