CORRECTION DEVICE FOR GRINDSTONE

PURPOSE:To perform the dressing of the projecting circular arc of a grindstone simply and easily by forming a structure performing the profile correction of the grindstone by allowing the grinding point of a rotary dresser coincide with the revolving axis of a dresser supporting arm. CONSTITUTION:In case of dressing a grindstone 8 in a projecting circular arc, a feeding screw 27 is rotated so as to form the desired size of the projecting circular arc and the grinding point of a rotary dresser 16 is lowered by the radial part of the circular arc from the axial center of a revolving axis 12. The width center of the grindstone 8 is then located on the axial center of the revolving axis 12 by adjusting the fore and aft positions of a column 6. Also the center of the rotary dresser 16 and the axial center of the revolving axis 12 are made coincident with an intermediate base 14 rotating a feed screw 26 as well. The rotary dresser 16 is then rotated by driving a motor 23, the grindstone 8 is rotated, a motor 19 is controlled by its driving and the rotary dresser 16 is revolved 180 deg.. Then, a cut feeding descending a grindstone shaft head 7 is given, the rotary dresser 16 is brought into contact with the grindstone 8 and subjected to dressing in the specified projecting circular arc.
