METHOD FOR ALIGNING TEETH OF GEAR GRINDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of engagement and carry out grinding without leaving unground portions by engagingly rotating a grinding wheel and a workpiece gear and obtaining the middle position of an average backlash quantity to make the position the engaging position. CONSTITUTION:The order of a plurality of first actual rotating position of a wheel spindle 9 or a work spindle 10a at the time of rotating only the wheel spindle 9a in a synchronization control condition is detected. The difference between a plurality of first logical rotating position values and the plurality of first actual rotating position orders at the time of the synchronized rotation of the wheel spindle 9a is obtained, and the average value of the difference is added to each first logical rotating position to obtain a first actual logical rotating position. By rotating only the work spindle 10a in a synchronization control condition equally to obtain a second actual logical rotating position value and the middle position value between the first actual logical rotating position value and the second actual logical rotating position value is made the value of the engaging position between a grinding wheel 3 and a workpiece gear 7, to carry out the synchronization control between the wheel spindle 9a and the work spindle 10a.
