Two kinds of large and small platen gears 11, 12 are mounted on the same shaft through an one-way clutch 10 and the large gear 11 is meshed with the shaking gear 7 when the capstan 5 is rotated forwardly and the small gear 12 is selectively meshed with the shaking gear 8 at the time of the reversal of the capstan 5. The platen 2 is connected to one end of the paper feed roller 1 by a transmission mechanism 15 through a slip mechanism 14.
