Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To correct a fixed pattern noise over a wide temperature range by having a gain correction circuit to calculate sensitivity dispersion which infrared image pickup elements have in respective elements in propotion to it output at the back of a fixed pattern correction circuit. CONSTITUTION:A gain correction circuit 12 consists of a multiplier 13, a sensitivity difference memory 14 and an adder A, records the sensitivity difference proportionate to an output corresponding to the respective elements of an infrared solid-state image pickup device element 3 into the sensitivity difference memory 14, multiplies an output after the removal of a fixed pattern noise and the sensitivity difference by the multiplier 13, and adds a multiplied result to a signal after the removal of a fixed pattern by the adder A. Thus, the fixed pattern noise can be removed over the wide temperature range, even when there is the sensitivity dispersion in each element.
