BELT CONVEYER WITH CLEAT

PURPOSE:To improve carrying efficiency by providing the belt with an edge cleat on both sides of the cargo receiving surface of an endless-state belt main body to be toroidally wound to a main pulley, and arranging the endless member with a lateral cleat toroidally wound to a sub-pulley so that the lateral cleat nears the cargo receiving surface. CONSTITUTION:When the belt 15 with an edge cleat is made left turning, the endless member 30 with a lateral cleat follows by the friction force with an upper moving side 15d of the belt 15 to make right turning. In this condition, both sides of the carried article in a carrying-in part 15C is surrounded with the edge cleat 17 to be carried to a chute part 26 via an intermediate part 15b and a discharge part 15a. At that time, in the side 15d of the part 15b in a vertical condition, the carried article is surrounded at its outer surface with the belt member 31 of the member 30 and supported with a lateral cleat 32, consequently surely lifted. And the carried article is scraped with a scraper 27 at the return part of a discharge end 15a, and surely dropped within a chute 26. Thus carrying efficiency is improved.
