MODIFIED CROSS-SECTION BAR AND POLISHING DEVICE FOR WIRE ROD

PURPOSE:To reduce the deflection of a work stock by the outer periphery of a polishing wheel and yet to prevent the reduction in the work stock polishing area by installing alternately to the right and left the polishing wheel shaft center so as to rotate in the reverse direction to the progress direction of the work stock by making it as the axial arrangement inclined by specified angle in the progressing direction of the work stock and to the upper and lower parts. CONSTITUTION:The polishing wheel shaft center A of the polishing wheel 2, 3 installed between guide rolls 4 and 5, 5 and 6 is adequately inclined like crossing in the progress direction of a work stock 1 respectively and moved by specified amt. to the right and left with its holding a horizontal position. Moreover, the polishing wheel shaft center A is made the axial arrangement inclined by specified angle in the progressing direction of the work stock 1 and to the upper and lower parts so that the sliding peripheral faces of polishing wheel 2, 3 are opposed to the polishing objective face of the work stock 1 and installed alternately to the right and left so as to rotate in the reverse direction to the progress direction of the work stock 1.
