PROTECTOR

PURPOSE:To make it possible to select the operational temperature of a bimetal and the heating temperature by an overcurrent at a desired value by providing a turnover bimetal to be contacted to the heating part of a movable contact lever, between the movable contact lever and a base. CONSTITUTION:The whole body of a movable contact lever 4 is composed of a spring material of a relatively high electric resistance, and a part is made thin to form a heating part 7. The heating part 7 is used to control the electric resistance or to set the heating amount at a desired value by controlling the width of the heating part. A turnover bimetal 6 is made in a shallow plate form with a little curve in the up and down direction. And it is disposed on the upper side of a base 1 by contacting the high expansion rate side, for example, to the heating part 7 of the movable contact lever 4. Since no current flows to the bimetal 6 itself in such a composition, the operational temperature of the bimetal and the heating temperature by an overcurrent can be selected as desired.
