PURPOSE:To ensure a propeller aperture for a one-shaft propeller in a ship body after it is remodeled into one-shaft type while facilitate the remodeling work, by cutting a stern shell part, located in the center part of the ship body between two-shaft propellers, to be removed and mounting a flat plate shaped part to be newly provided. CONSTITUTION:A ship body shell part 22 in the center line part of a ship body between each propeller 7a, 7a in the stern of a two-shaft propeller ship is cut along a cut line 25 to be removed, and a flat plate 23 is mounted replacing this removed part. By this method, when the ship body is remodeled so as to arrange in its center part a one-shaft propeller 1a, a propeller aperture (a) of the one- shaft propeller 1a can be sufficiently ensured. While the remodeling work can be easily performed by mounting the flat plate 23.
