Zusammenfassung:Store for accommodating spherical fuel elements of high-temperature reactors, specifically both for the spent fuel elements removed in the normal way from the reactor, and for the fuel elements at very varied stages of burnup which occur when a core is emptied. Depending on their burnup condition, the spherical fuel elements extracted from the core of a reactor are directed via a distributing device to one of at least two silos for accommodating spent fuel elements, or to one of at least ten shafts for accommodating partially spent fuel elements. Depending on the respective burnup condition of the fuel elements, spherical absorber elements are added for the purpose of maintaining the subcriticality.
