ROOT-BEND DEVICE IN OPENING HEAD PART

PURPOSE:To prevent the tip of a coil from colliding with different kinds of rolls on the lower stream side when a strip is passed by composing a nip bend device of the table plate and supporting the table plate so that it can move to a deflector roll. CONSTITUTION:The nip bend device 4 is composed of a flat table plate 4b. Then, since the tip part 3 of a 2nd strip coil which has left the deflector roll 2 is bent by the surface contact with the table plate 4b, the curvature by the nip bend generated by the line contact in the former nip bend roll can be avoided. As a result, since the stream of the tip of the strip coil flows in such a form that the coil tip is bent flatly upward, the strip coil does not collide with rolls such as pinch rolls, leveler rolls, carrier rolls, etc., when the strip is fed but can be fed smoothly.
