Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To stably control molten metal surface level by catching variating condition of the molten metal surface level from data after filtering output signal of the molten metal surface level meter with at least two kinds of filters. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel is cast into a mold 3 from a tundish 1 through submerged nozzle 2 and the flowing rate is adjusted with a sliding gate 5 driven with a cylinder 4. Then, the sliding gate 5 is controlled so that the molten steel level in the mold 3 becomes constant and the fundamental constitution of the control is that the molten steel surface level in the mold 3 is measured with the molten steel surface level meter 6 and feedback of the measured value is executed to a molten steel surface level control unit 8 through a molten steel surface level converter 7. The signal related to the measured value after passing through the molten steel surface level converter 7 is inputted to the molten steel level control unit 8 after executing the filtering treatment with two kinds of the filters 16, 17 differing with the filtering performances.
