Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To lower the amount of axial vibration of a cylinder as much as negligible by including a counterbalance weight, a first mounting means for applying a fixed rotary shaft thereto, a second mounting means for applying a reciprocating movement thereto and the center of gravity of a counterbalance in a counter balance means. CONSTITUTION: A counterbalance means 18 has a counterbalance weight 19 and a first mounting means for defining a fixed rotary axis 34 and rotatably connecting the weight 19 to a crank chamber 6. The axis 34 is parallel to the axis 8 of a crank shaft and spaced sideward from one side surface of the axis 4 of a cylinder. A second mounting means rotatably connects the weight 19 to the crank shaft 7. A piston pin 36 defines a rotary axis 38 capable of reciprocating relative to the weight 19 and the weight 19 moves in a circular manner when a piston 5 reciprocates, This movement applies a force required for balancing the inertia force of the piston 5 and a connecting rod 9. The counterbalance means 18 neutralizes a vibration perpendicular to the axis 4.
